Founded in 2015 by twin sisters Lakiesha and Natisha Claxton, Nouveau Royale began as a passionate dance group of nine members and has blossomed into a thriving dance school built on artistry, discipline, and love for the craft.

The heart of our school. Students come together to build skills in teamwork, stage presence, and artistry while preparing for concerts and showcases. In addition to main studio performances, members volunteer for extra opportunities throughout the year.
The foundation of all dance. Students will develop grace, posture, strength, and discipline while learning classical ballet technique. This class supports performance quality across every style.
A structured progressive training pathway designed to develop strength, flexibility, agility, and performance artistry. Students begin with foundational skills such as rolls, handstands, and cartwheels, then progress safely into walkovers, aerials, and advanced tricks — all blended seamlessly with dance choreography.
Students train on a suspended hoop, developing strength, balance, and coordination. They will explore aerial techniques and creative sequences while building confidence and artistry in the air.
Using fabric suspended from the ceiling, students learn climbs, wraps, drops, and poses. Aerial Silks helps students build strength, flexibility, and expressive artistry while exploring this exciting circus-inspired discipline.
This class focuses on safely increasing flexibility, balance, and body control. Students will work on deep stretching techniques, controlled movements, and contortion skills in a structured environment.

Since 2015, Lakiesha has been instrumental in guiding the growth of Nouveau Royale, overseeing artistry and operations. She is certified in Ballet and Dance, and holds a certification in Business Management.

Natisha leads the studio with passion, discipline, and a hands-on teaching approach. Since 2015, she has taken on multiple roles — owner, director, choreographer, and instructor.
